As a birth and postpartum doula, I provide emotional, educational, physical, and sometimes spiritual support during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.

  • Two 90-minute prenatal visits

  • Nature + Nurture Membership portal access

  • Referrals to care providers in the community

  • On-call availability 24/7 from 38 weeks until birth

  • Support for you and your partner (if applicable) for pregnancy and birth

  • Postpartum support for 1-2 hours after birth, until your new family feels settled

  • Lactation support for baby’s first latch if breastfeeding

  • One postpartum visit (1-2 hours) ~ three to five days after birth to support healing + immediate care needs

  • Options to add additional meetings and/or postpartum preparation support

  • Lactation support as an integrative lactation and feeding specialist

  • Nurturing and care as you embrace your new role as parent(s)

  • Support in processing your birth, the changes of the postpartum period for you and your new family


  • Physical, mental, spiritual, and practical support depending on your family’s needs - to support the new family’s bonding and healing

  • Herbal remedies, specifically herbs and plants native to the lowcountry - respectfully and sustainably sourced

  • Hands-on preparation of warm, nutritious meals made with local, seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby farms (cost of ingredients not included)

  • Support in processing your birth and the changes of the postpartum period for you and your new family


  • Education for newborn care
 and lactation support, if desired

  • Resources for local and virtual community support

Price varies depending on your customized menu

Your choice of postpartum meal delivery via Harvested, or in-home preparation of nourishing soups, meals and herbal remedies to support your family’s transition. In-home prep includes:

  • A detailed assessment reviewing personal health and nutrition for more individualized herbal and dietary recommendations

  • 1-2 nourishing soup/meals and teas/drinks prepared with local, seasonal ingredients that are specifically designed for a healthy postpartum and lactation support per visit

  • Nourishing homemade salves, balms, and oils for pregnant belly, sore nipples, perineal healing, and more as requested

  • A bouquet of SC-grown wildflowers at initial postpartum visit, if desired

Wherever possible, ingredients will be native to the low country and/or sourced from local/ regional farms and shops. The cost of this package may change depending on your specific needs and ingredient availability.

I help you practice these conversations, support you in developing questions and follow-ups for your provider, and remind you that you have the right to work in partnership with your provider.

  • Adapt to physical and emotional demands of your pregnancy

I listen with a nonjudgmental presence that allows you to feel heard, and I make referrals to care providers in the communtiy as needed - acupuncture, prenatal massage, talk therapy, and other outlets that you may lean on as you accept this new stage and transition into your new role.

One friend did it this way, the other friend did it that way - everyone seems to have really strong opinions about how you should be pregnant, how you should labor, and how you should respond to your baby when they arrive. I give you the space to talk out your options and discern what you actually want for your birth, outside of anyone else's goals for you.

I can meet you in early labor, support you with physical comfort measures, and watch for signs to determine when to go if you are birthing outside the home.

  • Avoid unnecessary
    interventions

I will provide you with education on all the different types of interventions, when and how they might come up, and help you practice self-advocacy in your birthing place all throughout pregnancy. During labor, I can provide moment-to-moment support to help you take ownership over your experience.

  • Relax into the process

I've got your back. You can ask me a million questions and know I've heard (most of) them before. It really helps to have someone there, hired by you, and therefore entirely focused on you and whatever comes up for you through this transition.
